We organize tours in Dutch, English, French or German.
Visits can only be requested via the online booking site, not by telephone or by mail. Special requests or suggestions can be made on our booking site.
Groups shall not exceed 15 participants. Would you wish to book 2 groups at the same time? This is possible. In that case, report this in the field "Remarks" when booking your visit. You will then receive an e-mail with further instructions. Volvo Car Gent is able to welcome 30 persons (2 groups of 15 persons) at one time.
Visits have to be requested at least 14 days before the day of the visit.
The minimum age is 16 years. Each group of pupils is always accompanied by at least one teacher.
The visit occurs on foot. Motor disabled people or wheelchair users are welcome, but they need to be able to follow the tour and the group is responsible for these visitors.
In order to protect the privacy of our employees, it is not allowed to take photographs.
Since we receive more requests then we can handle, we give priority to certain groups such as schools from our region, dealers, clients, prospective clients or groups that are related to our company or our industry. We evaluate each request and only after a positive answer, you will be able to plan your visit.
Safety is important. We ask groups to follow the guidelines and only visit the places that are open to the public. The groups should stay on the walking aisles; they are not allowed to walk between the production lines or to touch the (bodies of the) cars. When a group violates the guidelines, the visit can be broken off. In this case, the group has no right to be reimbursed.
We ask pupils and teachers of technical schools to wear safety shoes. Other visitors should wear sturdy shoes (no slippers, sandals or stiletto heels for example). You enter in an industrial environment and your clothing should be appropriate.
After booking and paying the visit, you will be asked to fill out the names of the participants on a list on the booking site, at least five days before the visit takes place. The visit can be cancelled - without reimbursement - when we do not receive the list in time.
Each group should be accompanied by a group responsible, who requests the visit and who we can contact by mail.
When you book two groups and the number of participants does not exceed 15 people, we can merge the groups and hire only one guide.
Do you meet these conditions? Great! We look forward to your visit!
